FAQ
What does the 3-8-5 NPK ratio mean?
The three numbers represent nitrogen (N), phosphate (P), and potash (K). Rose & Flower Fertilizer provides 3% total nitrogen, 8% available phosphate, and 5% soluble potash.
How often should I fertilize my roses and flowers?
For established roses and flowers, apply in early spring when new growth starts and repeat after 4–6 weeks. Application timing varies for other planting setups, so follow the directions for your specific use.
Can I use Rose & Flower Fertilizer in containers?
Yes. For container planting, apply 2 teaspoons per gallon of container size. Water after application.
Can you over-fertilize roses and flowers?
Yes. More fertilizer is not necessarily better, and excessive fertilization can negatively affect plants. Always follow the recommended application rate for your planting setup rather than applying extra product.
What’s the difference between organic and synthetic fertilizer?
The primary difference is the source and form of the fertilizer materials. Both can provide plant nutrients, but organic fertilizers use materials permitted for organic production. GreenGro Rose & Flower Fertilizer is OMRI-listed for use in organic production.
